With a 1,000% growth spurt and an annualised run rate of ₹200 crore, Deconstruct is putting its money where its mouth is. The Bengaluru skincare brand’s latest figures are a testament to a strategy that has clearly been working: the belief that what is happening in the Indian market is no longer a passing trend.
Today’s consumer in India is done with being swayed by pretty packaging and empty promises. They want to know why a product works and if they can put their trust in it. Deconstruct has positioned itself to answer those questions, and the results speak for themselves.
Why Indian Skincare Consumers Are Asking Better Questions
Founded in 2021 by Malini Adapureddy, the company has put in the hard yards to get here. An IIT Kharagpur and INSEAD alumnus with over ten years at firms like P&G, Flipkart and Kraft Heinz, Adapureddy set up Deconstruct on a simple premise: let science and transparency do the talking rather than vague beauty claims.
Inside Deconstruct’s Science-First Growth Formula
The brand’s range of sunscreens, serums and moisturisers is designed to be as gentle as it is effective, tackling real issues from acne to pigmentation. That kind of ingredient-first approach has resonance in an overcrowded market. And it has not gone unnoticed. In FY25 the brand clocked 1,000% growth to hit around ₹200 crore in net revenue. It has also put over 2 crore consumers on their skincare journey.

L’Oréal Just Put ₹65 Crore Behind Its Next Chapter
To fuel the next phase, Deconstruct has closed a ₹65 crore (some $7.5 million) funding round. L’Oréal’s BOLD venture fund was in the lead, with V3 Ventures and DSG Consumer Partners on board, and old investors Kalaari Capital and Beenext have stayed in the fold.
Why L’Oréal’s Bet Matters Beyond Deconstruct
Having L’Oréal in the corner is no small matter. For Deconstruct it means the capital to put behind R&D and operational expansion; for the wider industry it is a sign of the global appetite for homegrown brands that can back up their relevance with hard science.
The Numbers Behind Deconstruct’s Breakout
The numbers tell the story of a company that has left the early startup days behind:
* 1,000%: FY25 growth
* ₹200 crore: Annualised net revenue
* ₹65 crore: Most recent funding
* 2021: Year of founding
* 2 crore+: Consumers served
Deconstruct is now on the shelves of every major e-commerce and quick-commerce app as well as its own D2C site. The D2C Insider has even named it one of “India’s Breakout Consumer Brands of 2026”.
Can Deconstruct Keep the Momentum Going?
Going forward, the task will be to keep the science at the centre of things while scaling up. With the backing of BOLD and a solid revenue base, Deconstruct is well placed to show that an Indian brand can build a global beauty narrative rooted in credibility and loyalty.
